You don't have to carry this alone.
Every story matters. We walk alongside people as they face life's challenges, offering wisdom, compassion, and care.
Professional psychotherapy with a Christian ethos, open to people of all faiths and none.
Professional care with compassion and wisdom.
Counselling at Soul Story is integrative, which means Colin draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailored to where you are and what you need. Sessions are confidential, non-judgmental, and held at a pace that respects your story.
While Soul Story operates from a Christian worldview, counselling sessions are open to people of all faiths and none. You don't have to share our beliefs to find value in the work.
Individual Counselling
Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, burnout, or simply that sense that something needs to shift. There's space here for you.
Couples Counselling
Couples counselling provides a guided space for two people to understand each other more honestly, work through patterns that have become stuck, and rediscover how to move forward together.
Leadership Mentoring
Leadership mentoring offers pastors and ministry leaders a reflective space to think theologically and honestly about life and ministry.
Together we explore areas such as spiritual formation, leadership challenges, preaching and pastoral care, personal strengths and limitations, and the pressures that leadership can bring.
Mentoring is shaped around the needs of the leader. Some engage in ongoing monthly conversations, while others use mentoring during sabbaticals or particular ministry seasons when deeper reflection and discernment are needed.
Sessions normally take place monthly for around a year, meeting online or in person for 50-60 minutes, though this rhythm can be adapted depending on the situation.
The aim is simple: to help leaders grow in self-awareness, spiritual depth, and wise, sustainable leadership.
Soul Story Approach
Soul Story Counselling is an integrative psychotherapy grounded in a Christian theological anthropology, in which diverse therapeutic models are understood as complementary partial perspectives on the human person and the process of healing. Within this framework, theological anthropology functions as the interpretive lens through which each model is engaged, drawing out what is genuinely illuminating while critically discerning assumptions that are reductionistic, incomplete, or mistaken.
